Ramadan: COMOG Urges Muslims To Seek Allah's Intervention To Lift COVID-19 On Humanity

The Coalition of Muslim Organizations (COMOG) has urged Muslims in the country to take opportunity of this year's Ramadan to plead with Allah to lift Covid-19 on humanity.

It also urged Muslims to use the month of fasting and prayers to strengthen their connection with Allah, contemplate on their lives, seek forgiveness for their past wrongs and resolve never to return to such negative ways.

This is contained in a press statement signed by Shahadu Mohammed, General Secretary of COMOG.

It noted that the 2020 Ramadan is unique as the country is not in normal times due to Covid-19.

According to COMOG, even though the usual community practices and celebration associated with the month of Ramadan will be non existent, the significance of the month and it's virtues remain same.

COMOG also commended government, the health services, security agencies, the media, private sector and state agencies for their efforts and support to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
