Herbert Mensah Completes 19th Donation To Families Affected During Hearts/Kotoko May 9th Clash [+PHOTOS]

Herbert Mensah leads a group of charitable individuals, Companies to honor his promise to come to the aid of the families affected during the May 9th disaster involving Hearts of oak and Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The May 9th disaster which happened in 2001 claimed 126 lives, leaving some others in various degrees of injuries.

As a yearly festive to recollect the happenings , learn lessons and go to the aid of the affected families, the former Asante Kotoko Chairman [Herbert Mensah] alongside lnterplast Company Limited,GBfoods, producers and distributors of Gino food products, Sunda Company and other individuals like King Edward ‘ The Slave’ , went to present some products to the bereaved.

The team of donors are marking the 19th anniversary of the May 9th disaster which will be Saturday ,May 9,2020

” May 9th is such a Special time of the year, people ask me why you[Herbert Mensah] do it every year and l’m motivated because I feel for those who make us great, the ordinary people make us great.

To see them suffering the pain of family haven’t lost somebody,as a nation we forget our heroes”.

” I have been determined that with friends,associates to make sure that nobody should forget May 9th from that day, and that is what we have done- but you know we will not be able to do if it’s was for some individual.

And for me ,my brother [Eyeson,owner of interplast] has stood beside me shoulder to shoulder.its not my job to look after the family.
