COVID-19: It's An Abomination To Stigmatize Recovered Persons - Opanyin Agyekum

The Dean of the School of Performing Arts of the University of Ghana, Legon, Professor Kofi Agyekum, popularly known as Opanyin Agyekum has condemned the stigmatization of persons infected with Coronavirus in the country.

Professor Agyekum resented the character of some Ghanaians towards infected people and those who have recovered from the disease saying it utterly unhelpful to the social fabric of the economy.

He questioned the logic in stigmatizing people when the prayer of the nation should be to have more recovering cases and not deaths.

According to Professor Agyekum, it should be good news for Ghanaians to know that people are recovering from the disease.

''It is an abomination to stigmatize someone who tests positive and recovers from positive to negative meaning they don't have the disease'', he said on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo''.
