Rapper Freda Rhymz says Francisca Gawugah Duncan-Williams, known in showbiz as Sista Afia, cannot step into the rap field without first going through some customary rites to be inducted into the game.

Freda Rhymz told host Abeiku Aggrey Santana on Okay FM's drive time that Sista Afia is known for singing highlife and if she really wants to enjoy the rap beef, then she should "pay respect" to her seniors - most probably herself and rapper Eno Barony - who are known for their rap dexterity.

In the last few days, a raging storm of controversy has been ignited following Sista Afia's release of her song 'WMT' on April 22.

Granted that the artiste stopped short of mentioning names, it still did not prevent people to conclude that Sista Afia's jabs were directed specifically at Sister Derby, Wendy Shay and Efia Odo in the song.

This did not stop Freda Rhymz from churning out ‘KMT’ and Eno, who later released ‘Rap Goddess’, as counter jabs and reactions.

Sista Afia then went a notch further and clap-backed with ‘You Got Nerves’, prompting Eno to also drop ‘Argument Done’. Freda Rhymz, who didn’t want to be left out of the beef party, also released ‘Point of Correction’, to underscore her pedigree in the rap game.

When the "Ekwanso dwodwo" host sought to find out why these beefs with each other by these female artistes, Freda Rhymz pointed out that Sista Afia is just at the beginner's stage of the game, thus needs to thread cautiously.

''She was supposed to use highlife to do whatever she wanted to do, not to switch to do rap...As a rapper, when you speak your mind, there is no need for you to go online again to go and cry. Rappers no dey do that. We got the specs. No one has given her the mic and she's rapping. She should pay respect to the seniors in the game," Freda stated.
