Officers broke up a large gathering in a London park today which saw dozens of people flout coronavirus lockdown rules by cramming into football stand.

Police didn’t specify what the gathering in Enfield, London, was for but they pointed out that 'baptisms and religious ceremonies' are banned.

Pictures shared by police showed swathes of people scattered across the pitch as officers spoke to them.
