As elections draw near, it is not surprising that some political figures who were elected to fulfill their own promises have begun to feel threatened, especially because they know they have not performed to the expectations of the electorates.
 
The Honorable Member of Parliament for the Bodi Constituency in the Western North Region, Sampson Ahi, has recently taken to the media in pursuit of seeking sympathy with the good people of the Bodi Constituency.
 
Sampson Ahi, who has been a Member of Parliament for the said constituency for the past Sixteen (16) years and is seeking for another term in Parliament, has launched a desperate "radio tour" following comments from the  Western North Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. William Benjamin Assuah, to unseat Sampson Ahi in the next general elections.
 
Sampson Ahi has also denied the New Patriotic Party (NPP) access to his radio station (Akwaaba Fm) even though the NPP has initially paid for airtime which culminated in the signing of an agreement, the management of the station on instruction from he Sampson Ahi reneged on their promise and refunded the money to the NPP Constituency Communication Directorate. This has given him the leverage to attack the Western North Regional Chairman and the Party as well.
 
Mr. William Benjamin Assuah, upon his assumption of office as the Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, has said that charity begins at home and since he hails from the Bodi constituency, it is very imperative for him to unseat the Member of Parliament whose presence in Parliament has not matched up with his productivity.
 
Currently, some branch executives of the National Democratic Congress have resigned and joined the New Patriotic Party which has sparked ignited fear in the Member of Parliament and caused him to be moving from one media platform to the other, spewing insults on the Regional Chairman, Mr. William Benjamin Assuah because he has vowed to unseat him.
 
It has become evident that, Hon. Sampson Ahi's own inability to deliver to the good people of the Bodi Constituency, coupled with the incompetency and inconsistency in the NDC is now threatening him.
 
Considering how poor he has performed, it has become obvious he has lost confidence in himself and feels the only way to go is to be moving from one radio station to the other, chanting how he is willing to pay billions of cedis to retain the seat.
 
At this point, it is very clear that the vision of the Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. William Benjamin Assuah to gradually take over the Western North Region for the New Patriotic Party is very feasible and a course that is worth supporting. Sixteen (16) years for Sampson Ahi as a Member of Parliament is Enough.
