Coronavirus: How Social Media Is Reacting To Akufo-Addo Easing Restrictions

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his 10th address to the nation on the fight against COVID-19 in Ghana has announced measures to set the pace for the easing of restrictions as a way of getting life back to normalcy.

With the level of high expectations that awaited the president's address on Sunday night, social media has been awash with reactions to the presidents address.

Since Ghana recorded its first 2 cases of Covid-19 on March 12, 2020, the government in trying to contain the virus which has with time infected over 8,000 persons instituted measures which have also affected the social and economic lives of Ghanaians.

Some of the measures included a ban on church and mosque activities, weddings, funerals, as well as the closure of schools.

But speaking to the nation on Sunday night, President Akufo-Addo outlined some affected activities that will have its imposed restrictions eased starting from Friday, June 5, they included the ban on church and mosque activities and the closure of schools.
