The families of the kids of Asoba Foundation at Ofankor have received Covid-19 relief support from the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).

The items include; liquid soap, hand sanitizer, bags of rice, cooking oil, and tissue paper.

The items were presented to the families by Ishmael Abraham Armah, the Vice President of the ‘SMASH COVID-19 AWAY’ project and the CEO OF NK Foundation.

Mr. Ishmael Abraham Armah said the hardships COVID-19 had brought to the country, had affected all sporting activities including Table Tennis as the reason for the donation.

Asoba and NK Foundations in collaboration with the ITTF Foundation presented these items to help ease the difficulties this pandemic had brought to the families.

He stressed on the need to keep the kids safe in this difficult time and constantly practice the protocols and measures put out by the government and the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Coach of Asoba Foundation, Dora Sarpong appealed to Ghanaians to help put up a structure for the kids of Asoba Foundation.

She was grateful for the support received so far from benevolent people to the Foundation.

She said the tables for training the kids are left at the mercies of the weather and there is no place for them to pack to after training. Asoba Foundation has over sixty cadet players including national female cadet champion Emmanuella Yaa Kyere.

The President of the GTTF Mawuko Afadzinu was grateful to the ITTF for their kind gesture.

Asoba Foundation is a Table Tennis NGO based in Accra under the leadership of Nathaniel Kwesi Somuah.
