The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Amasaman for the 2020 election, Mr Akwasi Afrifa-Mensah has appealed to the Ministry of Roads and Highways to take quick steps to rehabilitate roads in bad condition in the constituency to ensure smooth movement of persons and goods in the constituency.

Mr Akwasi Afrifa-Mensah made the appeal when he toured the constituency to observe the condition of roads in the area as the rainy season begins.

He noted that many of the roads in the constituency are in bad condition making it difficult for motorists to ply the roads.

He however commended government and the Ministry of Roads and Highways for rehabilitating the Three - Junction to Adeyman Road in the constituency.

The Assemblyman for Mayera Electoral Area, Hon Kwabena Appiah said the bad condition of the Mayera to Pokuase road is a major challenge to residents as motorists experience delay since they cannot drive faster on the road.

He appealed to government to take steps to complete the rehabilitation of the road.

The Assemblyman for the Manhean Electoral Area, Hon Nathaniel Nii Lomotey Tetteh also said residents in the area go through a lot of suffering daily as a result of the bad condition of their roads.

He also appealed to the Ministry of Roads and Highways to take action to put the road in good shape.

Mr Akwasi Afrifa-Mensah later donated a canoe to fishermen at Manhean.
