Mame Yaa Aboagye Optimistic NPP Will Stay In Power For Long

Deputy Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mame Yaa Aboagye is optimistic the party will remain in power for a long time.

According to her, the New Patriotic Party is working tirelessly to ensure they continually steer the affairs of the State beyond eight years and to drive the nation to the promised land.

Mame Yaa Aboagye, in an interview after the NPP's Primaries in the Central Region, said “all the three MPs who lost their seats in the Central Region called on their supporters to come together to vote for the winning candidate and also support the President so he can continue the good works.

She said they were made to understand that it’s better to have the NPP in power for the benefit of the country.

She added that the NPP has come to stay in power so both the losing and the winning teams in the region have joined forces in an exceptional way to win NPP power in 2020.

The primaries on Saturday were held at various electoral areas to avoid crowding at the polling stations in order to ensure social distancing and strict adherence to the health protocols to curb the deadly virus.

She asserted that the party’s comportment in the primaries indicates that the new voters’ registration exercise and the December 7th elections can take place smoothly regardless of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mame Yaa Aboagye commended the party aspirants and delegates for observing the COVID-19 safety protocols.
