Counselor Lutterodt Doesn't Apply Wisdom To His Speeches But Pardon Him - Socrates Sarfo Pleads

Movie Producer, Socrates Sarfo has come to the aid of Counselor George Lutterodt pleading for him not to be banned from the media.

Counselor George Lutterodt has recently earned the wrath of many Ghanaians following his remarks about rape victims.

In an interview on Adom TV, the Counselor made an emphatic statement that rape victims take pleasure in being raped and this comment has been described as insensitive and offensive.

Backing his claims with an incident of a lady who came to him for counseling and through her counseling engagements coupled with other researches he's made, Mr. Lutterodt came to a conclusion that every rape victim enjoys the act.

In a reply to Counselor Lutterodt, Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah tweeted; “Rape and violence against women are not something we should joke or toy with. We need to develop a more robust environment for protecting our wives, daughters, sisters, and mothers.''

Nana Aba Anamoah, Juliet Ibrahim, Lydia Forson, Sister Deborah and Juliet Ibrahim have all condemned the act with some calling for his arrest.

The Gender Ministry has also condemned the statement and called for sanctions on him.

Counselor George Lutterodt, speaking on 'Entertainment Review' on Peace FM, retracted and apologized for his words.

Socrates Sarfo also on the same programe appealed for him to be pardoned, particularly when he has apologized.

"This is for the first time in my life that I've seen Counselor Lutterodt has withdrawn any statement he's made. This the first time ever . . . He's a very good Counselor. Sometimes, when I listen to some of his utterances, it is good but it is his delivery that is a problem.

"When you repair somebody, he becomes a better person like Saul to Paul. Paul became better because of his past deeds. Counselor is one of the best Counselors I've come across. Say it like it is but just that he doesn't apply wisdom to it when he's speaking in public. I know from today, Counselor will be applying wisdom whenever he's speaking in public," he said.
