Ghana Rugby Ladies Join The Fight Against Covid-19, Donates Health Items To Polling Centres

Members of Ghana Ladies – a subset of Ghana Rugby have joined the campaign against the devastating Coronavirus.

The group, in partnership with the Ghana Rugby, toured polling centres in the Korle-Klottey Constituency in Accra to donate items like face/nose masks, shields, and essential vitamins.

They made the donation after successfully registering for their Voters ID cards.

Joining the exercise was Mrs. Rafatu Inusah who is a Board Member of Ghana Rugby, Anita Halm; the Captain of Lions Rugby Club and Paulina Yaa Mensah; the top try scorer at the 2019 Africa Women’s Tournament in Tunisia.

The group also seized the opportunity to urge Ghanaians to adhere to the safety protocols to help curb the Coronavirus pandemic.

Coronavirus cases in Ghana

The latest update from the Ghana Health Service indicates that Ghana has recorded 270 new cases making the country’s total case count now at 24,518.

Thankfully, 20,187 have recovered with the active cases now at 4,192 while 139 persons have lost their lives.
