Stop The Registration Exercise - Former Ambassador To EC

The controversies surrounding the compilation of a new voters' register seem not over as a former Ambassador to the Arab Emirates has asked the Electoral Commission (EC) to go back to the old voters' register.

Consular Daniel Osei says no matter the amount of money spent so far in the ongoing voter registration, the EC should halt the exercise to save the lives of Ghanaians.

Speaking in an interview on Neat FM's 'Me Man Nti' programme, the former Ambassador said since COVID-19 is airborne, the registration exercise is exposing Ghanaians to the virus.

"The main aim of compiling a new register is to vote. We already have a register which is good enough; we should use it . . . the lives of Ghanaians matter," he told Adakabre Frimpong Manso.
