Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta says it will take Ghana approximately three years to bounce back into good shape from the impact of the coronavirus disease.

The coronavirus, according to him, has ravaged the pillars of the nation plunging the economy into huge losses.

The Minister, in an exclusive interview with host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' Friday morning, however believed the current administration's ongoing social interventions and investments into all sectors of the economy, particularly the most affected sectors, will help revive the country.

He disclosed that his Ministry and the government have developed a three-year development plan to ensure the country fully recovers from the pandemic.

''We need to do things differently. Taking the world into account, the whites has spent about 11 trillion dollars to save their economies and to get businesses back. So, for us, I think we're quite moderate in where we are and where we're going . . . That's why the President said we should develop the 'Obatanpa, Ghana Cares' 100 billion programme so that immediately people will begin to have hope and look at areas in which they participate in.

" . . my expectation is a three and half year plan; half this year and then three years going forward but rarely, I have an inner confidence that by the end of year 2, we rarely would have recovered considerably," he stated.
