Afropop/R&B musician Camidoh has revealed that he will never date or marry an industry person.
According to him, he would prefer being with someone who is not a public figure because he wouldn’t want their issues to be out there for the world to see.

“Two public figures in a relationship won’t work for me. This is not to say that the industry ladies are not pretty but we face a lot of distractions and our private lives become public so if I can’t have privacy at least my wife or girlfriend should have that.

"I wouldn’t want to put everything of mine in the public eye especially when we have children,” he told Graphic Showbiz recently.

Camidoh explained that if even he has a crush on an industry person he would try as much as possible to control his feelings.

“There is something called self-control and I am very good at that. Just as some serious companies will not allow a man and woman to marry in the same institution I will also not marry or date an industry person and I know this decision will help me,” he stated.

Having been in the music business for a decade, one thing Camidoh says is killing the music industry is disunity.

“We are divided and that is not cool. There is no unity among us and it's about time we started supporting ourselves. I really admire the Nigerians when it comes to that.

"I expect our musicians to come together and help each other. The A-list artistes could help push the younger ones by promoting their works or even doing collaborations with them.

“Can you imagine Sarkodie, Shatta Wale or Stonebwoy promoting a young talented young musician who is now starting his career? With their huge fanbase the new artiste will be known in no time,” he said.

Camidoh, whose real name is Raphael Attachie Camidoh has songs such as For My Love, Audio Love, The Best, Maria, Find Love, Tiktok, Hot Pursuit, Good Vibes, The Way, Only One and Loyal.
