Let’s Rally Around John Mahama And Prof Opoku-Agyemang For Victory - Asiedu Nketia Urges Party Folks

General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia says the new thing that the ticket of John Mahama and Naana Opoku-Agyemang is bringing into the political arena depends on the unity of the rank and file of the party.

According the NDC Chief Scribe, the magic word will be the difference that the rank and file of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will bring to table by rallying behind the choice of the leadership.

Speaking at the event to officially outdoor Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as the Running Mate of former President John Dramani Mahama, he concluded that the magic word which will bring victory to the John Mahama and Naana Opoku-Agyemang ticket is unity.

He further appealed to the youth of Ghana who are dissatisfied and disillusioned with what is happening in the country under the leadership of His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to do magic by voting for the NDC to comeback to power.

“I have heard many saying that what magic is Naana Opoku-Agyemang bringing to the table or what new is President Mahama bringing to the table?”

“My answer has been very simple, that the magic is with you the rank and file of the NDC and the magic is in the youth of Ghana who are dissatisfied and disillusioned with what is happening, and the magic is simply unity”.

He reminded the rank and file of the party that victory in the election 2020 is possible if there is unity and determination to the circumstances they find themselves in; thus, the only enemy to hinder their agenda is to go into the election with a divided front.

“If we are united and determined to make a change in our circumstances, it shall be but we cannot win election with a divided front,” he indicated.

He reiterated on the need for the NDC who are not happy for the choice of Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as the Running Mate for John Dramani Mahama to put their personal interest aside and close their ranks for the common good of all.

“I like to urge everybody who wants to see a change to let us close our ranks. As an organization, decisions maybe taken anyway and it is not possible for decisions to be taken that satisfies everybody,” he urged.

“What is important is that, the decisions must satisfy the greatest number of our party members. After a decision has been taken, our duty is to close our ranks, rally around our leadership and make sure that our mission of rescuing is accomplished,” he stressed.
