Prez Akufo-Addo Paid All Expenses To US For "Already'' Video Shoot With Beyoncé - Shatta Wale

Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale has disclosed that the Akufo-Addo government arranged an all-expense paid trip for him to go to the United States and shoot the music video of ''Already'' with American music icon, Beyoncé.

Shatta Wale, in an interview with Onua FM, also revealed that the government ensured he made the trip secretly out of Ghana and his return as well.

The Dancehall artiste nicknamed as 1 Don has set a historic record in Ghana's music industry for collaborating with Beyoncé on her song and getting a feature on her ''Black is King'' music video album.

The Already song has since its release on Friday, July 31, 2020 reached about 7 million views on YouTube.

The collaboration is touted as one of the biggest international collaborations of all time.

Shatta Wale has extended his gratitude to President Nana Akufo-Addo and his government for making it possible for him to attain such great feat.

“This is the time that I’ll say kudos to the current government not because of politics or anything. The airport understood that I said I wanted my trip to be kept a secret and they worked that for me. Kudos to Kotoka and their boss who arranged that for me. I went through the airport and they took me through VVIP, went into my first class and flew. It was them that paid for my expenses in and out, my hotel, food and everything. That is how come no Ghanaian got to know about it'', he said.

Meanwhile, some government officials including the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and Shatta Wale's colleague musicians such as Stonebwoy, Sarkodie together with some celebrities and the media have all congratulated him for his big win.

Some major international brands like JayZ’s Roc Nation and America’s largest music industry standard record chart, Billboard, have also applauded both Shatta Wale and Beyoncé.
