'There Will Be No Shoddy Deal Under My Watch' - GFA President Kurt Okraku Declares

Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku has pledged there will be no blot in his copybook during his tenure.

The former Dreams FC Executive Chairman has come under scrutiny after announcing a deal with a local dealer, Macron Ghana Limited, as the official Match Ball sponsor of the association.

For some it is a fraudulent scheme and badly packaged since it is with a third party and not the kit manufacturer itself.

But Okraku insists the Ghana FA has struck a good deal.

''It's not a shoddy deal and there will be no shoddy deal under my watch, sorry. If somebody is expecting any shoddy deals to short-change the FA under watch, then the person is worrying himself. It will not happen,'' he told Max Radio in Accra.

''Every due diligence was done and Macron balls will soon arrive in this country for us to use.''

The Ghana Football Association signed a three-year deal worth with  GH¢1.6m Macron Ghana Limited.

For every season, 5,000 balls and 1,500 pieces of bibs will be supplied to the FA for their competitions- Ghana Premier League, MTN FA Cup and the National Division One League.
