Ayeh-Paye Slams NDC For Engaging In Tribal Politics

Member of Parliament for Ayensuoano constituency, Hon. Samuel Ayeh-Paye has defended President Nana Akufo-Addo over the deployment of the Military to some Regions in the country.

Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, Hon. Ayeh-Paye stated that it’s the responsibility of the President as the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed forces to ensure peace in the country.

It is in view of this duty that “President Akufo-Addo had to deploy military personnel to ensure we have peaceful and credible voter registration for the 2020 elections”.

He slammed the opposition NDC for engaging in what he says is tribal politics.

“What NDC is trying to do is to create the impression that the Akans hate the Voltarians, hence should be voted against in the 2020 elections, but this agenda will amount to nothing . . . Let us face the fact that this registration is the most peaceful I have ever witnessed in my so many years of political experience...“, he added.
