NDC Is Suffering From Full-Blown HIV-AIDS (1)

The party Rawlings founded and painstakingly nurtured with his wife when others sat on the periphery of political activism and their wives sat in beauty parlors, refurbishing their nails (manicure/pedicure), is gradually slipping out of his hands. Rawlings put a little spot-light on this development during their 2010 delegates conference in Tamale and I believe more is in the offing. Today, this party has been hijacked by people famous, only, for their Highly Ingrained Vagabondism (HIV) and Inimitable Acute Indecent Decadent Sycophancy (AIDS). As such, the NDC is currently suffering from a new strain of full-blown HIV-AIDS!!! Simply put, these people, with their deep-rooted wayward characteristics, have also perfected the art of using sudden and deadly, as well as destructive and un-refined methods, to actualize their diabolic aim of elbowing the Rawlingses out of the NDC. But believe the good old Papa gyatabi Jerry to put up a good fight. Certainly, our nations political terrain is set for a great eye-popping and excessive mouth-watering showdown. Now, when NPP assumed the reins of governance in 2001, President Kufuor decided to live in his own house at airport, near the Tetteh Quashie Roundabout, because he did not find the castle conducive for his familys habitation. Some security measures were therefore put in-place at the residence to cater for his personal safety. This move became a source of great insomnia for the NDC and their legion of nkwan deewa apologists. But rather ironically, Nana Konadus mother, who is not captured in our now highly-controversial article 71, had her house refurbished with tax-payers money by these very same people. Again, they said President Kufuor was creating a great deal of inconvenience for road-users during morning rush-hours with his presidential motorcade. And because Kufuor did not want to be seen as being insensitive to the noise being made by those pseudo-democrats and their nkwan deewa apologists, he decided to change his time of reporting to the office to suit the populace by commuting during times well outside the morning rush-hour. Here too, these unrepentant agitants said Kufuor was reporting to work late and that did not speak well of a president. They criticized Kufuor for causing inconvenience to motorists but completely relegated to the background, the indescribable discomfort inflicted on innocent Ghanaians with their act of utter irresponsibility on the morning of Thursday, 5th May, 2011. They praised the total chaos they caused on the Ring Road Central and described it as a testimony of the popularity of their benefactor. And this is why I have always maintained that whenever you hear the NDC shouting the loudest against a particular issue, simply put the said issue under an electron microscope, examine it with critical eye and you will clearly find their finger-prints boldly embossed on it. On that morning, I had an appointment with the marketing department of Busy Internet in connection with a research I am currently undertaking. I had to make my way from Kanda by a taxi but we got stuck in heavy traffic jam and I had no choice but to get out of the car and trek, having already parted with some few cedis as taxi fare. Other road users like motor-riders working for courier services that operate within strict time schedule, were forced by the crazy traffic-jam to use unconventional routes like the shoulders of the road. This nearly resulted in a fatal accident involving one of these courier services riders, when, in an attempt to ride on the shoulder of the road, he ended up landing inside a huge drain right in front of the Emirates building, close to the Nima Police Station bus-stop on the Kwame Nkrumah Circle bound lane of the Ring Road Central. That courier service motor-rider must have been somehow careless by riding on the shoulders of the road. However, the man was pressurized to take that risk, ostensibly to keep to time schedule as a result of an unreasonable disruption of vehicular movements and other normal activities on that particular stretch of road, and by extension, the entire metropolis. And like I said, I was forced to trek to Busy Internet from the Nima police station traffic-light. Even that, I had a tough time passing through the crowd that had besieged the precincts of Paloma area and completely blocking both sides of the main Circle-Osu road. And to satisfy my affinity for research work, I decided to sample opinions of some of those NDC foot-soldiers gathered there. I asked about 15 people as to what they thought about the current power struggle within the party. Ten of them expressed a great deal of worry about the failure of the executives of the party to resolve the issue when it first started. They were visibly worried about the fact that those of them who besieged the EC with murder weapons have not yet benefited and the leaders of the party are sitting aloof for the party to go back into opposition after just one term in office. They bitterly lashed out at the likes of Okudzeto-Ablakwah, Kobby Acheampong, Omane-Boamah, Haruna Iddrisu and their ilk, for exhibiting shameful attitude of utter disrespect to the founder by always insulting him and they wondered why Atta Mills who appointed them sat aloof and watched these juvenile-delinquents engage in such verbal flatulence. One of them even cited an example of what he described as totally irresponsible, Kobby Acheampongs assertion on Metro-TVs Good Morning Ghana that very morning that Rawlings is irrelevant in NDCs current scheme of affairs. Two of them described Nana Konadus move as overly-ambitious even-though they greatly appreciate the enormous contributions of the Rawlingses to the survival of the NDC and its electoral victory in the 2008 polls. Two of them said it is within the right of Nana Konadu to contest for the flagbearership but Atta Mills will defeat her hands down. One person was very uncharitable with his condemnation of the Rawlingses for their insatiable lust for power. While I conducted my unscientific opinion poll, I spotted some of these parasites whose loyalty can best be described as a swinging pendulum. These characters have taken Atta Mills hostage, infected him and the NDC party with their kind of HIV-AIDS and are feverishly stuffing their stomachs with edufudze. They paraded the street in front of the partys head-quarters and danced to brass-band music. Their now protruding bellies, puffy cheeks, thick necks, but surprisingly tinny legs, were all on full display. These previously impecunious animal doctors, carpenter parliamentarians, untrained barber ministers, ex-convicts and other social miscreants have ridden on the back of Rawlings to become multi-billionaires. And to maintain their gluttonous status, they have resorted to a disgraceful act of Acute Indecent Decadent Sycophancy (AIDS). People who virtually licked Rawlings back-side, explained every abusive language that flowed from his lips and sang his praises to the high heavens, have made a complete u-turn and are now falling over one another to prove who can sing the sweetest song to the ears of Atta Mills because he is the one currently laying the golden eggs? And characteristic of a typical power-drunk African leader, Atta Mills is currently relishing the massive exhibition of such plain-faced famfool-respect and palpably fictitious loyalty being accorded him by this group of people who, without the trappings of political office, cannot even wipe their own back-side after visiting the washroom. Effectively, the NDC is being held hostage by previously well-known paupers whose notoriety is cut in the mould of Highly Ingrained Vagabondism (HIV). These people have also put on robes of unrestrained Acute Indecent Decadent Sycophancy (AIDS). An institution afflicted by amalgamation of such fatal and rapidly degenerating ailment is surely destined for the grave. I would therefore advise that any plans to ship in anti-retro-virals to arrest the situation must be abandoned since the party has now developed full-blown HIV-AIDS with its immune system, already, totally destroyed.
