Deputy Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mame Yaa Aboagye says NDC flagbearer and former President John Dramani Mahama will lose the 2020 Presidential elections even if he calls fire from heaven.

According to her, John Mahama’s desperation for power has blindfolded him to reality.

Speaking after an NPP press conference, Mame Yaa said “we are all aware how desperate John Mahama is, hence using tactical means to create a negative impression against the Akans and the Ewes but it will not hold because we know what he did when given the opportunity to serve as the leader of this country. Therefore, his own lies will give him up in the long run”.

To her, the former President’s abysmal performance cannot be forgotten.

“His performance was poor not to talk about constant dumsor for more than 4 years, the mismanagement of the economy and corruption. So, all he is trying to do is to incite the people of Volta Region against the NPP party. What we are asking for is for Ghanaians to register Ghanaians, not foreigners. He can call forth fire from heaven but Ghana cannot fall for him.”
