CODA Donates Face Masks And Hand Sanitizers To The Ga Traditional Council

The Coastal Development Authority (CODA) on Thursday, 13th August, 2020 donated some PPEs to the Ga Traditional Council to help them protect themselves against the coronavirus during the celebration of the Homowo festival.

The Chief Executive Officer of CODA, Lawyer Jerry Ahmed Shaib presented one thousand (1,000) pieces of facemasks and one hundred (100) bottles of hand sanitizers to the Ga Traditional Council and disclosed that the Authority knows that the people of Ga are in the Homowo festive season hence the need for this kind gesture. According to him CODA is distributing over 200,000 face masks and 12,000 hand sanitizers across the Coastal Development Zone which is made up of 109 constituencies under the six regions.

He also assured the chiefs and people that the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo through the Coastal Development Authority and under the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP) will continue to accelerate the social and economic development of the people within the Coastal Development Zone

Nii Adote Otintor II (Sempe Mantse), Nii Doodo Nsaki (Otublohum Mantse) and Nii Afutu Afragadza I (Protocol Officer) who received the items on behalf of the Ga Traditional Council thanked the President of the Republic and the CEO of CODA for their continuous support for the people of Ga and also the developments taking place within the Coastal Development Zone. 

He also assured the CEO that the PPEs would be distributed to the persons who are in need of them to enable them to protect themselves from the covid19, especially at this festive season.
