Bono East: Atebubu Water Crisis Gets Intervention

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Atebubu-Amantin Constituency, Hon Kofi Amoakohene together with his MCE, Hon. Edward Owusu have successfully commissioned a mechanised water borehole with the support of Madamfo Ghana, an NGO in Ghana.

The need to solicit for water project for some communities in Atebubu-Amantin Constituency came to light on the assumption of office of Hon. MP/Regional Minister for Bono East, since such request were put before him within the period of canvassing to lead his people ahead of the 2016 general elections for both presidential and parliamentary.

Upon petitions and series of proposals by the MP, Madamfo Ghana has donated two (2) boreholes for the people of Mempeasem and Aprade Electoral areas, both in the Constituency.

Atebubu water crisis has a short term intervention and such initiatives are in line with the MPs commitment to solve the problem as patience is exhibited in enrolling a long-term intervention to tap the water from PRU River.

NGO, Madamfo Ghana were particularly interested in maintenance culture, the project officer advised the beneficiaries to take good care of the project.

The people within the communities were grateful to the MP, MCE and Madamfo Ghana on their kind gesture to get them potable water.
