Mahama Has No Good Intention For Free SHS Policy - Prez Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed doubt that the review of the Free Senior High School Policy proposed by his main opponent, former President John Dramani Mahama will turn out well for the policy.

President Nana Akufo-Addo based his doubt on the fact that former President John Mahama has never said anything good about the Free Senior High School Policy which has been implemented.

Speaking to Skyy Power 93.5FM in the Western Region as he tours the region, President Akufo-Addo recounted that the Flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vehemently opposed the Free Senior High School Policy at every given opportunity.

The President accused former President John Dramani Mahama to have said that the Free SHS Policy was not possible and also meant for public gimmicks.

He again said that former President Mahama in his disbelief of the Free SHS Policy said it can only be implemented in 20 years time.

“Mahama vehemently opposed the Free Senior High School Policy. For him, it was not possible, it was public gimmicks and unless 20 years later . . . he never liked the whole idea of the system,” he indicated.

President Akufo-Addo says he cannot recall former President Mahama saying anything good about the policy which has been enrolled, making him wonder why the sudden interest for him [Mahama] to want to review a policy he vehemently opposed.

“Now, he wants to review it, someone that opposed it . . . we have not heard him say that the policy is good. We want to hear him say that the policy is good because he has never said anything good about it and so to say that he will review the policy makes me think that he has no good intention towards the policy,” the President argued.
