Cheif Executive Officer (CEO) of Media Excel, Akwasi Ernest has hit back at gospel musician turned Pastor Sonnie Badu over his recent comments about Stonebwoy.

Stonebwoy was involved in an assault during rapper Sarkodie's ''Black Love Virtual Concert'' on Monday, August 10, 2020.

The artiste punched the eyes of the rapper's Manager, Angel Town, and was ousted from performing at the concert.

Stonebwoy, in hindsight about the incident, rendered an apology to Angel Town, Sarkodie and his team but although the rapper accepted the apology, it didn't go without him expressing disappointment in Stonebwoy.

Sonnie Badu's message

Sonnie Badu, after Stonebwoy's apology, also took to his Instagram to deliver a message to the artiste saying; ''You did amazing apologizing. In life, you take lessons and you move on to become better...For now, all that matters is your wife, kids and career...I am praying for you Stone, for who God has blessed, no man curses...it shall be well with you..if God be for you who can be against you...Pay no one attention...stay focused..@stonebwoyb''.

Akwasi Ernest's reply

Akwasi Ernest, speaking on Peace FM's ''Entertainment Review'', found Sonnie Badu's message in distaste.

To him, the message is suggestive that Stonebwoy's critics hate him.

He posited that criticizing Stonebwoy when he goes wrong should not be mistaken as hatred for any person to make comments like Sonnie Badu saying ''...if God be for you who can be against you'', suggesting some people are envious of the success of the artiste.

He asked Sonnie Badu and his likes to stop pitching artistes against entertainment pundits and commentators or critics who find it in their place to correct celebrities when they misconduct themselves.

''If Stonebwoy buys even 30 helicopters, he won't put one in my house. Should he buy 50 houses, I have no portion. I'm not his family member; I will have no share in his inheritance. So, I  or nobody has  interest to show hatred to the young guy. Let's stop pumping into the minds of the musicians that someone hates them or make these funny, funny statements to suggest that someone hates him (Stonebwoy)'', he stressed.
