Highlife musician Kuami Eugene has been adjudged Artiste of the Year in the 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) which came off on Saturday, August 29.
This year's ''Artiste of the Year'' category comprised musicians Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata, Medikal, Kuami Eugene and the only female in the list being gospel artiste Diana Hamilton.
Kuami Eugene has a rich music repertoire with hit songs like Angela, Obiaato, Turn Up and his latest Open Gate among others.
The artiste also picked up the ''Highlife Artiste of the Year''.
Of course, the ultimate award category was a tight competition for all the musicians on the list but at the end of the day, Kuami Eugene beat his competitors to win the 2020 Artiste of the Year.
He thanked his fans, followers and family for the award.
