The NPP in Akim Oda, on Thursday, August 28, 2020, inaugurated its constituency campaign committee for the 2020 Parliamentary and Presidential elections. The team members were sworn in by the Eastern Regional Youth Organiser, Mr. Jerry Osei Poku in a short but important inaugural ceremony held at the Methodist Conference Hall - Akim Oda.

The Parliamentary Candidate of NPP in Akim Oda Constituency, Mr. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, and the Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Awudu Issaka Co-Chairs the Constituency campaign committee, with all the other 18 Constituency Executives and five (5) senior citizens of the party as members.

The campaign committee also includes Mr. George Amprofi (IT official) and Mr. Maxwell Anti is popularly known as Kofi Nti to be in charge of Social and electronic media.

Addressing party faithful, the Member of Parliament of Akim Oda, Hon William Agyapong Quaittoo called on members to come together and win more votes for NPP in Oda. "This issue of Skirt and blouse should not happen in Akim Oda Constituency" the legislator added.

Other Speakers, the Birim Central Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Victoria Adu, Alhaji Ismaila (Dir of Operations OTVP), and Alhaji Awaudu Issaka (Constituency Chairman) all spoke about unity and the need to work harder to accomplish the 80% target the constituency have set ahead of the General elections.

The parliamentary Candidate of NPP in Akim Oda constituency, Mr Alexander Akwasi Acquah on behalf of the Committee thanked the Senior minister and the party for entrusting confidence in them and He assured the party that the team would work hard to secure an emphatic victory for His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and attain the 80% mark they have set.

He disclosed that all factions during the primaries have been brought together and are on course to achieve a resounding victory for the Party. He added, "I'm the luckiest PC" and appealed to the members of the party and the Ghanaian people, in general, to continue to repose their confidence in the NPP, which, according to him, is the only party in Ghana that is able to deliver prosperity to the Ghanaian people.

Guest Speaker, Senior Minister, Hon Yaw Osarfo Marfo implored the members of the committee to discharge their mandate diligently in spearheading the party’s campaign in its stronghold. He added that the NPP has achieved a lot of excellence and Ghanaians must be informed. The senior minister also told members of the party to go out and campaign to retain the NPP in power. He also advised members to use every opportunity they get to win more votes for NPP in Akim Oda.
