I Didnt Fight - John Mensah

Black Stars skipper John Mensah has expressed shock at media reports that claim there was a bust-up in the dressing room after his sides 1-3 lost to Wolves. To Mensah, the dressing room incident was not different from the usual bust-up associated with teams. The central defensive pair of Mensah and Nedum Onuoha were said to have engaged in ill-tempered exchanges after their penultimate premier league clash, raising eyebrows among the sporting populace. But Mensah, in an interview, said: What happened after last Saturdays game was the usual exchanges that happens in dressing rooms. We exchanged words and nothing more. According to Mensah, what happened five days ago was a normal practice synonymous to the dressing room. I was surprised when I read it in the media. The 28-year-old defender joined Sunderland from Lyon in 2009 on loan and despite being plagued by injuries this season, he has captured the heart of his manager, Steve Bruce through his performance. He was just thinking one thing, total disappointment in himself, which happens in the heat of the moment, the Black Cats coach told skysports.com.
