Agyapa Royalties Deal: Go To Court If . . . - Nana B Tells Minority & NDC

NPP National Youth Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye has asked the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Minority in Parliament to go to court if they believe to have a genuine case with the Agyapa Royalties deal.

The Minority walked out when the deal was brought up for discussion in Parliament, claiming it is shrouded in secrecy.

They also argued it is tainted with corruption and are opposed to it.

They opposition party also raised concerns over the selection of Senior Minister Yaw Osafo-Maafo's son, Kofi Osafo-Maafo and President Nana Akufo-Addo's cousin, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko to be part of the managers of the deal.

They accuse the President of cronyism.

Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, addressing the press after their walkout, stated emphatically that no NDC government will support the deal.

Former President and NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama has also pledged to scrap the deal when elected as President again.

“We will do everything legitimately in our power to oppose the agreement and make sure it doesn’t happen,” he said.

But Nana Boakye, also called Nana B says ''if any person feels someone has discredited or suspect corruption with the Minerals Income and Investment Fund, proceed to the law court''.

"The minerals royalties are not a Finance Minister's property. Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko doesn't own it. It's not for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo but rather belongs to all Ghanaians. It is Ghanaians who own shares in this Agyapa with the government overseeing it on behalf of Ghanaians," he asserted while discussing the Agyapa Royalties deal on ''Kokrokoo'' on Peace FM.
