The True Definition Of Sakawa Is The Airbus Scandal - Mahama Told

A member of the Communication team of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has waded into the "Akyem mafia & sakawa boys" discussions insisting that President Akufo-Addo does not fit in that category.

According to Nana Kay, if the NDC is looking for people involved in Sakawa (fraud), they should start from the one who led the purchase of the aircraft in the Airbus SE bribery scandal.

"Nana Addo is not sakawa, if NDC is looking for an example of sakawa, they should cast their mind back to the airbus scandal; how they used sakawa to swindle their foreign partners to give out €5m for the aircraft. Now that the sakawa effect has won off, Interpol has issued a red alert."

Meanwhile, Nana Kay has explained why all the criticisms are targetted at former President John Mahama.

"He (Adongo) is not relevant in this discussion; he is not relevant but with former President Mahama it's news because the race is between him and President Akufo-Addo . . . we need to stop these tribal comments; maybe Adongo don't understand the meaning of sakawa . . . I will pardon them because probably they don’t understand. John Mahama is fond of ethnocentric comments; it’s a public knowledge," he indicated
