Keep Quiet If You Have Nothing To Say - Kokofu Fires NDC Chairman, Ofosu Ampofo

Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has said that the Akyem Mafia and Sakawa boys tag was targetted at a few people in government and not the entire Akyem ethnic group.

“If somebody puts up a post and refers to a group within government pursuing something and the person speaks about them, I don’t see why the whole Akyem community will appropriate it to themselves and decide to go and demonstrate,” Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo said at a training programme in Accra for lawyers and other NDC members on electoral laws ahead of the December 7 polls.

However, former Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Henry Kwabena Kokofu says Ofosu Ampofo's comment is neither here nor there.

Speaking on Peace FM morning show 'Kokrokoo', he asked the NDC chairman to 'keep quiet if he has nothing to say'

“Is it not surprising that the NDC finds justification for everything they say? We know he can’t come out openly to condemn it for fear of losing his position, so if he has nothing to say he should keep quiet” he fired.
