Prof Benneh's Murder: Find The Culprits & Prosecute Them - Dr. Asah Asante To Police

Senior Political Science Lecturer at the University of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Asah Asante has called on the Police to do due diligence with investigations into the death of his colleague Professor Emmanuel Yaw Benneh.

Professor Emmanuel Yaw Benneh, a Senior law lecturer at the University, was found dead at his Agyiriganor home, a suburb of Accra.

Details regarding the Professor's sudden demise are sketchy but it is believed he was murdered.

Following investigations, the Police have arrested some suspects associated with the incident.

They are; a 32- year-old Cleaner, Christian Pobee, and native of Agona Swedru, Isaac Botchwey, houseboy, native of Gomoah Tarkwa, James Nana Womba,26-year-old Cleaner from Asante Mampong and Adams Mensah Mansur, 52-year-old Gardener and native of Winneba.

According to the Head of the Public Affairs Unit of the Accra Regional Police Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Effia Tenge, the Command has taken over the case.

Dr. Kwame Asah Asante, speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', appealed to the Police to unravel the mystery surrouding the death of his colleague and ensure the culprits are found.

"I plead with the Police to find and prosecute the culprits, make sure they face the full rigors of the law."

He commiserated with the family of the deceased and hoped the security agency will not dilly-dally with the case.
