PNC former General Secretary, Atik Mohammed has slammed former President John Dramani Mahama over his catalogue of promises for Ghanaians.

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has launched their manifesto ahead of the December 7 elections and in the manifesto, the party flagbearer John Dramani Mahama made lots of promises to Ghanaians.

Some of the promises include his government legalizing okada business, miners whose licences have been revoked and those whose excavators have been seized due to illegal mining will have their licences and excavators back, the ban on importation on accident cars will be lifted, free education will be extended to private schools among others.

John Mahama says when he is elected as President again, he will introduce these and many more initiatives to improve the various sectors of the economy.

But to Atik Mohammed, the former President's promises are only for electoral purposes.

"They just want power at all cost and they think that mendacity can be a tool . . . You make a promise that you're going to sanitize the financial sector. An already sanitized sector, you say you're coming to sanitize; I don't know what you want to do again. And to also suggest that you will give licences that have been revoked because of mismanagement or because they did unlawful things back to their owners. I cannot understand it. In fact, you're endangered by your negligence and non-performance,' he said.

He cautioned Ghanaians against voting blindly for Mr. Mahama saying "we need to sift between and among these promises and know which ones are feasible; which ones are actionable".

Atik made his submissions on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Thursday.
