Ghana Election 2020: Voting History Of Obuasi West Constituency
Obuasi West was created in 2012 after the Obuasi constituency was split into two: Obuasi West and Obuasi East constituencies.
Obuasi West constituency is considered a stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The party emerges victorious continuously in all past six elections; from 1996-2016.
Parliamentary
In the parliamentary front, the story is no different. The incumbent NPP Member of Parliament (MP), Kweku Kwarteng won in 2016 with 32,049 out of the total vote cast, representing 68.5%.
