Ghana Election 2020: Voting Pattern In The Sunyani East Constituency

Sunyani East is a constituency in the Bono Region and it’s considered a stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). According to the 2010 Population and Housing Census (PHC), Sunyani East also Sunyani municipality has a population of 123,224.

Parliamentary candidates who contest on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party have always won per data compared from 1996 to 2016 elections.

The incumbent MP is Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh. In 2008, he took over from J. H. Mensah who had decided not to contest again after being on the seat for three terms.

Ameyaw-Cheremeh's major contender for the upcoming election is Allanm Sekyere of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The story on the presidential front is no different as the NPP records a huge number of votes in the constituency.
