Shirley Koryoo Ablakwa & Lydia Seyram Alhassan Organize Health Screening At Ayawaso West Wuogon

Shirley Koryoo Ablakwa, a member of the M4C Medical Team (Pro-NPP Medical Group) in collaboration with the Parliamentary candidate, Hon Lydia Seyram Alhassan organized a health screening at Ewiase Park, Dzorwulu in Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency on Saturday, 19th September 2020.

The participants of Dzorwulu were screened for malaria, hepatitis B, high blood pressure and taken through breast examination, eye screening, consultation, medication dispensing among others.

There were also free renewal and registration of National Health Insurance (NHIS) for children and distribution of masks and hand sanitizers.

The event, which was organized by Miss. Shirley Koryoo Ablakwa together with the Hon Lydia Seyram Alhassan and with the support of M4C Ghana, Bedita, and "I Care, Stay Safe"; was to provide healthcare delivery ahead of the 2020 elections.

Speaking to a cross-section of the media, Miss. Koryoo Ablakwa said the health screening exercise  formed part of her initiatives to supply healthcare delivery for persons who hardly visit the hospitals for medical checkup due to a number of reasons.

 “We are always occupied with one thing or the other which prevent us from seeking medical attention from time to time so I organized this health screening to support Maa Lydia Alhassan’s campaign and the good people of Dzorwulu to stay healthy and strong and vote for President Akufo Addo in December 7 election”, she stated.

She further iterated that NPP as a political party is not only interested in political activism but also the physical well-being of the masses, hence her kind gesture.

She also implored the beneficiaries of the health screening exercise whose conditions are precarious to arrange for a follow-up treatment with specialists for effective management of their conditions.

Hon. Lydia Alhassan applauded the efforts of Miss. Koryoo Ablakwa for her selfless gesture adding that her office will do everything possible to support such noble activities in providing health services to the people of Ayawaso West Wuguon Constituency.

In attendance included Mrs. Delese Mimi Darko, CEO of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA).
