Ayawaso East constituency is located in the Greater Accra Region and it’s considered as a stronghold for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to 1996 to 2016 election statistics, the NDC consecutively wins both presidential and parliamentary elections with a huge margin.

The incumbent Member of Parliament is Naser Mahama Toure and he has been on the seat since 2012.

Naser will battle it out with Peter Mireku of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December 7 elections.

Over 38, 000 voters will determine whether Naser continues as their MP or they want a new face.
