Tema West is a constituency in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana and it’s considered to be a stronghold for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The NPP continuously takes the lead in both presidential and parliamentary vote count in this constituency per data compared from 1996 to 2016.

The incumbent Member of Parliament is Kingsley Carlos Ahenkorah and he is seeking reelection. 

Even though he has been tipped to retain his seat, Dr Raphael Kwasi Sarpong Tuffuor of the National Democratic Congress will be seeking to make history by snatching the seat for his party come December 7; especially as no NDC parliamentary candidate has won in all six elections (1996-2016)
