The Deputy Minister for Monitoring and Evaluation who doubles as the Member of Parliament(MP) for Dormaa-East, Hon. William Kwasi Sabi has said the Ministry is not dormant as perceived by a section of the public.

The Ministry, he said, exists to facilitate, coordinate, monitor and evaluate programmes and projects aimed at addressing development needs of Ghana through the deployment of skilled human resources and modern technology to enhance data management, information dissemination and feedback on Government programmes and projects for national development.

However, little has been heard of the Ministry’s activities after its creation.

Speaking on Neat FM’s 'Me Man Nti' with Maame Biamah Kwafo in this regard, Hon Sabi said the Ministry is executing its mandate and that most people are not aware of the numerous activities because they report directly to the President and cabinet.
