Agrofie Goes Virtual On Return

After about a year of absence from our television screens, the Vodafone Cash Agrofie magazine entertainment programme is set to return with fresh episodes, but  in a different format.

The programme that deals with the history, culture, and current affairs  of this country in a way that makes compelling viewing,  has had to do away with in-studio participants and adopt the virtual format due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Osmo Kwame Addo who’s Katamadara Concepts company produces Vodafone Cash Agrofie , competitors  will now take part in the programme  from their homes instead of them facing the host in one location.

“We had to come up with an effective  way of producing the programme while minimizing the risk of spreading the virus to those involved  with the production. We needed to bring on enhanced safety protocols.  Vodafone was very particular about that and the great thing is that Ghanaians everywhere in the world can now be part of the show by reaching us through Skype, Zoom or vMix.

“Whatever money prizes they win would be sent to them straight away through Vodafone Cash. The other wonderful aspect of the new approach is that sponsors and advertisers would be able to showcase their products and services to a worldwide audience at a go. There’s definitely more mileage for them,”the Katamadara Concepts boss said.

According to him, participants based abroad who win prizes other than cash only have to indicate addresses in Ghana where their prizes must be delivered and it would be efficiently done.

Well-known actor, David Dontoh, hosts Vodafone Cash Agrofie. He said he was excited to be back on the show since many of its fans had been enquiring when it was returning.

“People met me in town and asked why the show was off air. I assured them it would be back recharged with new ideas.  I’m  glad we are ready to get on air again with several thrilling segments.  We’ll have contestants from all over the globe this time around so it would be a sort of ‘greetings from abroad’ thing as well,” Dontoh stated.

The Katamadara Concepts CEO said he was grateful to several people for helping to get the programme back on air, especially Patricia Obo-Nai, CEO at Vodafone Ghana; Martison  Obeng-Agyei, Head of Vodafone Cash Ghana  and Fred Adu Ntoso  of the Vodafone Ghana

The upcoming season of 39 episodes of Vodafone Cash Agrofie will go live on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Linkedin and Twitter on Saturdays and Wednesdays at 8.00pm GMT from October 14.
