Ghana Election 2020: Pattern Of Voting In Hohoe Constituency

Hohoe is a constituency in the Volta Region of Ghana with a population of over 55,000 and it’s considered a stronghold for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The opposition NDC has held on to power in the constituency for years

They continuously take the lead in both presidential and parliamentary vote count in this constituency per data compared from election 1996 to 2016; often with a huge margin.

The incumbent Member of Parliament is Bernice Adiku Heloo of the NDC. She has been on the seat for two terms but has decided not to seek reelection.

If history repeats itself and the seat continues to be in the hands of the NDC after the 2020 election, Hon Heloo will hand over to Prof Margaret Kweku, the new candidate for the ‘umbrella fraternity’.
