Amenfi west constituency can be found in the Western Region of Ghana and it’s considered as a stronghold for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The opposition NDC has held on to power in the constituency for years as efforts for the NPP to take over have proved futile.

According to 1996 to 2016 election statistics, the NDC consecutively wins both presidential and parliamentary elections with a huge margin.

The incumbent Member of Parliament is Eric Afful and he is seeking reelection in the coming election.

His main contender is Kwasi Afrifa of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
