BNI Must Urgently Invite Asiedu Nketia Over Secessionists Statement

Ishmael Adam a Communication Team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has asked the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) to invite Johnson Asiedu Nketiah over comments he made against the ruling party.

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said the NPP is behind the recent Western Togoland secessionist activities in the Volta Region

“ . . As far as I’m concerned, what is being hyped as the Western Togoland issue is a 100 percent NPP orchestration. Not 90, not 95, not 98 but 100 percent NPP orchestration because NPP will want to do everything to make sure that you don’t participate fully in the December elections,” he told party supporters.

Contributing to a panel discussion on Neat FM’s 'Me Man Nti' programme, Ishmael Adam said the BNI should invite Asiedu Nketiah for "giving a rabble-rousing statement".

He said the comments of the General Secretary prove that he might have some level of information which will help in dealing with the successionists.

“I’m surprised he’s not even been invited by now . . . we will not sit down for criminals, hoodlums to disturb the peace in this country. National Security should invite him in a gentle manner for interrogation; they should invite him as a matter of urgency now!!!”
