Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan consoles Slain MP’s Wife

On Thursday, 15th October,2020, several Ghanaians, politicians and sympathizers thronged the Mankessim Area to mourn with the wife and family of deceased Member of Parliament for the Mfantseman constituency, the late Hon. Ekow Quansah Hayford, who was involved in a gruesome murder by unknown assailants.

The government delegation led by his Excellency the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia paid glowing tribute and expressed sympathy for the great loss to the family , constituency, parliament and the nation at large.

Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan, the MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon at the One Week celebration took the opportunity to offer words of encouragement to the widow of the late Hon Ekow Hayford.

In her statement, she admonished the bereaved Wife to stay strong and resolute in these times.

She encouraged her to use the passing of her husband and the glowing tribute from constituents, parliamentarians and the nation as a whole as consolation to keep on the good work.

Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan spoke against the politics of insults against women and in this context a woman who is in mourning and may have additional political responsibilities.

The Ayawaso West Wuogon member of parliament pledged her unflinching support to the wife with regard to any future endeavors.
