Brazilian Senator Hides Cash 'Between His Buttocks' During Police Raid At His Home

A Brazilian senator allied to far-right President Jair Bolsonaro was reportedly caught hiding money 'between his buttocks' during a police investigation into the diversion of public funds set aside to fight coronavirus.

Officers raided the home of Chico Rodrigues in the northern state of Roraima, Brazil, on Wednesday as part of a corruption probe.

They found 30,000 reais (more than £4,100) in cash, part of which was discovered in Rodrigues's underwear, including 'between his buttocks,' local media reported whilst quoting sources from the investigation.

The federal police said they were trying to dismantle a 'possible criminal scheme diverting public funds' set aside to combat the coronavirus outbreak in Roraima state.
