Election 2020: 'Glory Be To God' . . . Mahama And Charlotte Osei Conspired To Disqualify Me In 2016, But . . . – Akua Donkor

The flagbearer for the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor could not hide her joy in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show, 'Ghana Montie' – a day after she was given the green light by the Electoral Commission (EC) to contest the 2020 presidential election.

“Glory be to God, have you seen what the Lord has done?” she happily asked host Mac Jerry Osei-Agyeman.

The farmer cum politician has been in the political light for years but all attempts to be on the presidential ballot paper has hit the rock.

She blamed former President John Dramani Mahama and former EC boss, Madam Charlotte Osei for their ‘diabolic agenda’ to disqualified her from contesting the 2016 presidential election.

“Mahama and Charlotte used dubious means to disqualify me in 2016 despite submitting credible documents with genuine signatures to the EC,” she noted.

According to her, the NPP government led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has proven to be a “solid government” with no bad intentions.

“Thanks to President Nana Addo who appointed Madam Jean Mensa as EC boss. Today, I have been cleared to contest the election as President,” she said.

Madam Akua Donkor is among the three female candidates who filed nominations to compete in the Presidential race in the upcoming December 7 polls.

They have been given the green light by the Electoral Commission to contest.

The three are; leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) Akua Donkor, leader of the National Democratic Party, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, and Flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party, Brigitte Dzogbenuku (PPP).
