2020 Elections: I'm Heading To The Supreme Court - Disqualified Presidential Aspirant 'Cries'

The Leader and Founder of United Front Party, Nana Agyenim Boateng has threatened to sue the Electoral Commission for disqualifying him without any merit.

According to him, the Electoral Commission has not been fair to him because they did not treat him fairly compared to other aspirants.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akyea Abia' program, he claimed that the Electoral Commission aided some people who did not even qualify to complete their forms even when the deadline had elapsed to correct the anomaly.

"So if you think I had some mistakes filling my forms, why didn’t you contact me for the necessary corrections to be done," he said.

"I have met with my lawyers and we are discussing the possible way forward but trust me I’m heading to the Supreme Court," he added.

Five (5) Presidential aspirants have been disqualified from the 7th December 2020 polls by the Electoral Commission.

They include independent aspirant, Marricke Gane (fake signatures), Akwasi Addae Odike of the UPP (fake signatures), Kwesi Busumuru of the Popular Action Party (fake signatures and had no supporters for some districts in GA/R), Nana Agyenim Boateng of the UFP (three persons denied endorsing his candidature) and Kofi Koranteng, an independent aspirant.

The remaining 12 aspirants who filed have been cleared and will appear on the ballot paper for the 2020 elections.
