Presidential Candidate for the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Mr Kofi Akpaloo says the news of his 8th position on the ballot paper first came to him with disappointment.

He laments that the electorate will find it difficult to locate him on the ballot paper and accordingly vote for him in the December 7 polls.

In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Mr Kofi Akpaloo said that he took time to find out the meaning of the number 8 in the Bible as a believer of Christ and came to the conclusion that it is a symbol of "new beginning" in everything.

He claimed that Ghana has been blighted by poverty for a long time and thus, his 8th position on the ballot paper simply means that God is about to use him to begin something new in the history of the country.

He stressed that the world is experiencing a new order due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus; noting that the new order for Ghana will begin with him as the President of the Republic, as the meaning of his 8th position signifies.

“Anybody can pick the Bible to check the meaning of the number 8 and it is a symbol of a new beginning and a new order and so we have entered a new order and if you look at the COVID-19 pandemic, we call it the world new order which has changed the world . . . 

" . . the world is going to emerge afresh, Kofi Akpaloo is going to be the first President of Ghana in the new world which begins next year; thus, Ghanaians should not be surprised to see victorious in the 2020 general election . . .

“In the mind and in the purpose of God, He knows why Kofi Akpaloo is placed at the 8th position on the ballot paper,” he stated.
