NDC, NPP Sabotaging Merger Talks Of Smaller Parties - Brigitte Dzogbenuku Discloses

The flagbearer of the Progressive People's Party (PPP), Brigitte Dzogbenuku has disclosed why merger talks of the 'smaller' political parties in the country have been unsuccessful.

The quest for a third force in the political arena always hit rocks as most of the smaller political parties are unable to find common grounds to merge.

Some political pundits believe a third force can be a game-changer but efforts for this to occur have been unsuccessful for years.

Speaking in a one-on-one interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Madam Dzogbenuku said the two big parties; the NDC and the NPP have been infiltrating the camp of the smaller parties giving them money to secretly vote for them during elections.

"Some of the smaller political parties are a bit undisciplined; the NDC and the NPP are aware of the implications of a merger and so they give out money and then create divisions within the smaller parties; that is the problem, monetization . . . but PPP is different," she indicated.
