A member of the Communication team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dared Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu to investigate former President John Mahama if indeed he has evidence to prove that he is ‘Government Official 1.’
Martin Amidu in his risk assessment report of the controversial Agyapa Royalties deal indicated that he has identified the former President as ‘Government Official 1.’
However, he is estopped from investigating him because he is a presidential candidate of a major political party.
But Solomon Anane says the Special Prosecutor has nothing under his sleeves.
Speaking in an interaction on Kumasi-based Hello FM, he said, "Martin Amidu has shown over time that his hatred for former President John Mahama is huge. I will be hugely disappointed that someone can't be investigated because he is running for President. It's a lie; he has nothing to interrogate. We are daring him if he indeed has something, he should go ahead to investigate".
